Time. Life. Family.

Lately, time has picked up speed. Where. have. the. days. gone?

(Little Cottonwood Canyon. Fall of 2009. Utah!)

Life is flying by. We have lots going on. Busy, busy, busy.

As the kids get older, the schedules pick up, our days are disappearing....
I want. time. to SLOW. down!
Push pause.
Enjoy our moments.
Enjoy our time.
I love our life. I love where we are at.
Last night I lay in bed just thinking...thinking how fast the kids are growing up, how much they are changing, becoming little adults...

They are getting older, facing new challenges, learning new things, and experiencing life. And you know what? This move has changed us. All of us.

This move has given life a whole new perspective. I had no idea. None. I had no idea how much we would all learn and grow. How much relationships mean, from family to friends (new and old!) How much we would grow as a family, the strength we give to each other to face new things, to take new experiences and become better.
Life is good, life is awesome. Challenges and trials only make us that much stronger. So my (cheesy! yes) thought for the day:
Life can lead you all directions and it is important to embrace each day, love the moment. Work hard, make goals, do your best. Love what you have, appreciate others, and be grateful. so grateful.
I know I am.
(and my Utah, do you look like this??
Oh how I miss my grand mountains! and colors)

NOW off to more life:
~A black tie event in Denver. Mamma Mia's Broadway and fancy dinner.

~Mary in town tomorrow with friends all gathering for the evening. yay!

~The last soccer games for the boys and a nice, long run tomorrow.

Love it.

Life.

Life is good!

p.s My mama is coming to visit for one day!

A layover in Denver, can't wait! 30 hours I will take!

(AND FORGOT to mention! The best news.... I BOOKED a flight home to Utah! yay!!! can't wait to hang with my girls, friends and family! )
(Brown Adult Christmas party. 2009! Miss you my cute fam! loves!)

Your life is amazing and your outlook on life is contagious! I'm so happy we are blogging friends because your posts always put a smile on my face:)
Thanks for your SWEET comment on my blog today (I've actually read it like 10 times already today.) It was exactly what I needed to hear. To be okay with how life is and just enjoy it. And as your blog post mentions the time really does go by so fast.
When our little family moved to Ohio for law school the same thing happened to us. Not to discredit the family back home but I totally get what you mean when you talk about the family growing stronger together. And your beautiful family will be forever blessed by the experiences you are having now.

Ooh lala....a black tie event? Do you know what you are going to wear yet? I'm sure you will be stunning no matter what! Can't wait to see pictures.....
Thanks again for giving me great advice as I am enduring this beloved role as a mother :)

I know that I read the definition of happiness somewhere. I liked it. It said that "happiness is being able to LOVE what you have." That's what you just said in your own beautiful way. I can't wait for my lay over--tomorrow--!Love you all,
Mom
