To every season.

Pic taken Saturday at Flat Iron Park. Jake and Mace.

A blanket of snow covered the Wasatch Mountains when I woke up yesterday morning.

The mountains looked majestic with the snow outlining their

peaks and hills.

In the valley it's cool and crisp, the wind softly blowing in a chill.

The colors are beginning to change. Deep reds and oranges speckle the mountainside. I love it.

Fall has now arrived, but winter is on the brink.

In Utah we don't get much of a fall. We get a hot hot summer, then a quick cool 3-4 weeks in October and then the

S N O W gently begins to f a l l down.

By Halloween there will always be 2-3 good snowfalls and sometimes the kids trick or treat through the snow in winter boots and knit gloves.

The pic I took was last Saturday at Jake's soccer game.

It was a beautiful day. The mountains were grand and the colors were

a bright glow.

I love fall because the colors start to become muted and the shadows begin to fall low to the earth created by the dimming sun.

I wished it could last forever.

But sadly it doesn't and snow is quick to come.

But for me as a sun lover, I am okay about it. I will try to welcome it. I will have a good attitude about the change.

(though it is hard for me to let the warmth go!)

Today on my run, the high was all of 36 degrees, definitely a cold chill in the air.

My lungs burned and my thighs were cold from the wind, but it felt good.

It means life is resuming, we are progressing.

To another season....

To everything turn turn turn.

And to everything a purpose!

So here I go...

I will let go of my summer heart and welcome fall with the

cool, crisp, colors and feelings.

And I will accept snow on my doorstep.

And I will enjoy each

single. day. I. get.

cheers to every season....
