My week. My favorites.

I dropped RY off at the airport Sunday evening
and drove home to this:

My favorite view.

It was so beautiful.
The sun was setting on the mountains giving them so much color. The clouds hung low in the sky speckling the valley with shade.
I had to take pics.

I told the kids I would be right back! I hopped in the burb and drove a mile up to the top of Creek Road and snapped some shots.
Look at my amazing mountains. I seriously love them.

The Salt Lake valley is breathtaking! 360 degree views of mountains. I am sure going to miss them.
I kept driving towards the Mountain House (my parents house) and took some more pics.

This pic is 3-4 miles from my house. I am coming back down from the Mtn. house. This is the heart of Willowcreek.

Oh lovely!
I sat outside my car and just looked out. I looked at my valley that I am soon to leave. I am sure people wondered what I was doing. But I didn't care one bit. Nope. Just sat there and watched the sun set...it was beautiful to me.

My next favorite: Gma and Gpa's!

Last weekend we went to Ry's parents house for an early Mother's day and late Easter Egg hunt. We had a great time and I just want to show you this amazing tree Ry grew up with! Every child's dream to have a big climbing tree:

See Mace underneath looking for eggs?

Love the colors and the big enormous branches. I grew up with a sycamore tree double that size. Something about big trees make a home feel so "homey!"

The kids had a blast. Thanks Grandpa and Grandma for all the fun: Dinner, Easter eggs (with lots of dollar bills!), basketball games, and lemon cake!

My next favorite:

My girls, my lunches.

Every day (this week and last) I have been able to have lunch with my friends and sissas. I am lucky.

Their friendship means the world.

(and can't quite think about leaving all these girls yet. I cry!)

Yesterday: Natalie and Robyn. Today I went to Rio with some of my sissa's and tomorrow I go with my friend Kim. love this pic:

Salt City Burger.

And I am sure going to miss these girls. My best friends.

I will definitely be flying back for some more Turkey burgers and Cafe Rio lunches. Oh yes!

Okay, my next favorite this week:

Family! Troy and Kristin. (my twin bro and wife!)

They have the best parties and host the most delicious dinners! They are both great cooks and so good at it.

We were lucky enough to be invited over for homemade Cafe Rio Salads (a Utah fav!) We watched the Jazz/ Laker game (boo). We had such a good time.

Of course Ashlyn and I could not get enough of Baby Sawyer and Baby Penny. They are so cute!!

I have had lots of favorites this week. I have been lucky.

We close on both homes next week. Wow.

Okay, let me end with my least favorite pic of the week:

Snow on my new, pink blossoms.

That's NOT right. snow and spring. nope!

Well there are my favorites!

Looking forward to mother's day weekend, my hubby home

(and hopefully some sunshine too!)

yay. xo!

Friends for L I F E.

Posted by Picasa

Do you have those best friends you haven't talked to in a long time

and you pick up the phone and start off from where you ended last time?

I do.

Do you have a friend who you grew up with, shared all those crazy junior high moments, had crushes on boys, lazy summers, and sleepovers all night?

I did.

Do you have a friend you cherish because she listens, cares about, and checks in every once in a while even if she lives all the way over on the East Coast?

I do.

I want to thank that "friend" who I love and feel so lucky to have. I grew up with her since 5th grade and she was my Maid of Honor at my wedding.

A little gift came in the mail

and it contained the sweetest note and my favorite treats.

Oh she knows me well...

it meant the world!

You KNOW who you are. I am lucky to have you girl.

and thanks for your message. I needed it.

Loves to you and your fam!

xo!
