Blizzards, Christmas parties, Love Letters, and my xmas fav's~

Wow! It is a blizzard right now! Thus the time to blog. Ry is stuck on Wasatch Blvd, we are snowed in and so lucky to get home from all school parties (thank's to my big burb! ) and now we are enjoying a nice, warm Christmas home! Anyway.....

So Jake is my child that is full of passion. Jake loves life. Jake is always happy. Jake lives life to the fullest. Lately at school he has been getting some "love letters" from the girls. They come up to him and tell him they "Wove him." Jake just grins, shrugs his shoulders and says: "yuck!" Here is his latest love letter:

It says, "Jake so lisin. I am wandrring if you can ckm play tdy. Wel i gus yre col. Love Kaylee W. " The letter is so honest and so homemade cute!

I am so lucky to be able to stay home with the kids. I try to get in their classroom for every party and help out. Yesterday I did Jake's class party, today I did the twins. Jake's class is soooo loud and they were full of it! They are all so excited for Christmas. Jake loved having me there. Big hug when I got there and when I left. I love that he is proud that I am his momma...when do they start to get embarrassed and pretend they don't know you? ! :)

Jake and the boys. You can tell Jake loves school and loves all of his friends.

Next, I was off to Ashlyn and Austin's Christmas party at Mrs. Pye's class. I requested this year that Ash and Aus be in 4th grade together so they could experience the "twin" relationship. My bro, Troy and I, were in the same class and I loved it. I think it is fun for them to be able to share the twin bonding. I know they like it.

Oh, I miss my neighbor Lynn. She lived right next door to me for 6 years. She is hands down the B E S T neighbor I have ever had or will ever have. She has done so much for me and my family. Thank you Lynn for everything...I miss you and want you back!! We both helped out in the classroom today!

We made Gingerbread houses. The teacher was sooo nervous about the mess. Her half- grin said it all....but the kids loved it so much. The treats, the sweets, and all of the colors.....!

Mace loved going to school with Sissy and Au-Au. (as he calls them). He drops them off with me everyday and is so sad when they leave the car. So he had a great time with them at their school.

Okay, to my bargain favorites!! Linens and things going out of business...Score! I bought the best dinner and salad plates ever! I got a set of 10 each (so 20 total) for $ 29. 75! I love the simple elegance of the glass plates!

So don't make fun of me if I tell you where I bought these shoes. I have been looking forever for a golden, pointed toe. Looked forever, no luck. SO I went to the Payless to get Austin new winter boots and I spied these shoes....It was BOGO that day, so I scored. (11 dollars :) Can you believe, Payless? Don't laugh..! Payless is great for kids, but for adults I think you get what you pay for. So I am planning on one season!

I love love jewelry. Anything to spice it up! My fav's lately have been the Buckle earrings on the left and my Target earrings on the right.
They were both under $10...! Why I blog about this? So when I'm ninety with no style, I will remember one day that I cared! :)

Oh here is a pic of Mason's lawnmower. Yes lawnmower. He loves his pink, fluffy, girl suitcase..I bought it as an impulse to keep Mace quiet at the TJ Maxx and brought it on home. Needless to say, Ry wasn't to happy when he saw the color. So he taught Mace that it was a lawnmower not a girly suitcase! It makes me laugh every time he plays with it. Mace said to me yesterday that he "woves his lawnmower. :)"

Holy Smokes...it is a blizzard right now! There were still oodles of workers at the house... Yay!
Off to Christmas break for the kids......2 weeks! Let us all survive!
Merry Christmas......6 days and counting!

Ok seriously?? This much SNOW already? I was snowed in yesterday at the mountain house. The snow NEVER stopped all day! The boys were EXCITED for the first blizzard of the year. I hope this isn't a SIGN of what's to come....!
