Christmas Eve. Colorado Friends. 2010

Some of us gals! Ashley, Amy and I.

The Coon's, Folters, and Stott's got together for Christmas Eve.

We were the only one's without family in town or off visiting family for Christmas (yet..)

WE knew we had to create a fun atmosphere for the kids and have a great Christmas Eve.
Without having Gma and Gpa around, or cousins to fill the time,
we become family here.
awesome.
I was glad to host again,
(With a finished basement. it helps! t.v's, Wii, Playstation,
basketball hoop it up, a castle and toys...
We had 13 kids between us all.
We gathered at 6:00 for our Christmas EVe program:
Desserts, the Nativity, and Christmas songs.
Then let the kids play and play.....

It was great.

Ashley has the cutest little twin girls ever!

They fill my void for missing my nieces and nephews.

Brooklyn and Brinely are 11 months olds now...I love helping Ash out with them.

Here are pics of the rest of the evening....loves!

Merry Christmas!

Happy kids. Magic is in the air. Cousin Christmas party

What a party we had!
The annual cousin Brown Christmas party!

The agenda:
Treats, singing Christmas songs, playing games, and opening presents from cousins!

Everyone arrived at the party with gifts in hands,
excited hearts, and ready for the party to begin....

My kids were so happy excited.

They have been waiting for this party all month.

We had to miss Jaker's basketball game...what a bummer, his coach said he's benching him the next game...thanks Seth :) ha ha

Gifts wrapped, we were on our way....

We arrived a little late and everyone was there!

The Monsens, Larsens, the Wilsons, the Memmotts, the Browns, the Brieviks, the Browns, the Stott's and let's not forget

Grandpa and Grandma!

(we are all making funny faces in this pic...don't know why!

I think the most hyper happy children

were the
4 P A C K!

They are bust buds and could play everyday.
Mace is so happy around his cousin boys.
He just loves hanging with his buddies!

I feel relief when I see pics of Ashlyn with her best girl cousin Savannah.

I struggle with the fact that Ashlyn will never have a sister....

BUT obviously she does!

(and Savy, your pants are so adorable...wish i owned a pair myself!)

It has been 3 years since

Grandma and Grandpa

have been able to come to the cousin party!!!!

Welcome back! WE sure missed you!

I just couldn't resist this cute pic of Brie and Whit....

aren't their bows so darn adorable?! To get the party started:

C H R I S T M A S C A R O L S!!

We sang all the classic favorites.

This is my kids favorite part...

I think this is when they feel a little bit of the Christmas spirit....

And it is my favorite because I love love their happy faces!

Mace could NOT wipe his big huge smile off of his face!

Misty is the musical talent in our family.

She plays the guitar and piano to perfection.

Misty's son Matt, takes guitar and lead the kids in a few numbers....

it was so awesome!

Matt is such a cute kid!

WE played games next, but my pics of opening the presents downloaded next and I'm to lazy to switch! So on to

Present time!

The most exciting, anticipated, happy exciting moment for each kid.

They get to open a present before Christmas.

They all picked names and get a special gift from their cousins.

WE started youngest to oldest.

LOOK AT their faces...such serious business!

They couldn't wait to hear their name!!!

(ohh they were all so cute....)

Oh happy joy!
The presents were opened, the kids were smiling so happy,
their little hearts all content on their "special" cousin gift. ....
You could see the joy in their eyes!
Christmas was drawing closer and this was just the beginning.

All the kids loved their gifts!

Ashlyn

Austin

Mace the cowboy.

Cade got Mace the greatest cowboy get up...

he has slept with it every night.
thanks Brie and Cade!

Everyone was happy....it was such a fun day!

We played games with all the different age groups.
My kids loved the game of guessing who Santa was...
They had to disguise their voices and say a little rhyme about Santa...
the kids were so creative....we were all laughing!
(I see this pic and realize my kids are growing up!
What a special gift to grow up with your cousins...
Cole and Quinn are Amber and Misty's boys...they are all BEST FRIENDS)

Of course, my favorite boys.

I was so glad that Ry is finally feeling better.

That morning, he got his first official breath of air through his nose!

Yay...it has been a long 3 weeks....!

We had a such a great day!!
We pulled off another successful cousin
Christmas party.
Most the hubbies came and chatted while the mom's did the games.
It was so great to have Grandma and Grandpa their to share the fun.
Thanks to everybody for making it such a fun party!!

Only 10 more days till Christmas!
The excitement is building around here....
day by day, the kids count it down.
This is the most magical time of the year...
Hope you are all enjoying this time as well......

(and thanks to Troy and Kristin for organizing! Great job!)

Christmas Bug

My friend Nat is going to Cancun for Thanksgiving so she already put up her tree...and I started thinking about the colors and the deco's and that her tree is
A L R E A D Y up
and man oh man.......

and not the shopping, spend lots o' money,
fight the crowds, crazy shoppers bug,
but the
peaceful snowflakes, christmas trees,
colorful stars
on a string kind of bug.....
I went to Taipan and Rodworks and found these
colorful stringed stars for the mantle,
the crystal-lined white snowflakes,
the red shimmery beads spray,
and the red and green sparkly christmas trees
all for a steal!

I just set them out today...not real decorating...but getting oh so ready!
Need some happy joy around here.....
(Do you like my stars on my Thanksgiving mantle?? )
AND with Gratitude season I want to thank everyone
for all your LOVE and SUPPORT for my sis....
I have received many phone calls and emails concerned for her....
it means so much to me (and to her!)
Thank you and loves to you ALL!
