Sunday Love.

I love our Sunday's. Majority of the day: just us. The day is spent with the Family. A break from the craziness of the week. Quite dreamy. Here are pics from 4 days ago. We are a mile away from our house. We went to a new lake/pond.

In CO, it took awhile to get used to no family on Sundays. Ry knows I miss that.

His new idea:

a walk every Sunday. As a family. Ashlyn and I already do that, but he wants to make an effort to be there. always. the boys too! (thanks Nat)

To go on a walk, have a picnic, throw the football, be outdoors. I love it.

Last Sunday: Across to Anthem ridge. A mile down from our house. Same owner/ builders. It is Anthem Ranch. For 50 and older. They have a beautiful, beautiful neighborhood. I think we both have around 500 homes in our neighborhood. They have a private Rec center that looks like a palace. We loved it there. A new found place.
You can see their Rec center from ours. They have many more tennis courts and fun horseshoe games, they have a sprawling lawn with bbq's and benches. thier view of the lake is so pretty. Their pool overlooks to Boulder.

It was a warm, sunny day. It was fabulous.

The boys played football for an hour then we explored the ranch.

Ry and I held hands and walked around :)

It was lovely. I love our new tradition. together.

We walked home and the Rennaker's (Stacie and Darren!) were at the door w/ their kiddos! So fun....

We all hung out some more, ate some treats and let the

kids run around. perfect.

It was a great day....Just what Sundays are about!

xo!

~NOW off to a busy weekend! oh my goodness :) Mace's Easter preschool party, Mason's bday @Monkey Biz, Austin has basketball tryouts, boys have football games, Jake has a soccer game in Colorado Springs, our big friend/family Easter party at the park and finally Easter Sunday! :)

saturdays. sunny days. mace's big day :)

I love Saturdays around here. They are busy and non-stop. I wake up and run my 13, then we are off to S P O R T S! A L L DAY. going to football fields, soccer fields...cheering on the kids. We love it. (Mace with all his buddies...Jake's soccer game field) It was a warm happy sunny day :)

The days in Colorado are always sunny. It brightens my days:) ((and so sorry for the spaces and the BIG lettering...I don't know what's going on to my blog. the more I fix, the more it breaks :) ahhhh)).

and spring has sprung around here. beautiful!

We signed the boys up on a team with all of our friends boys.

Jake, Austin, Dalton, Brayden and Beck are all on a football team.

The boys love it. They get to hang with their buddies.

Then us parents can come hang out each Saturday.

They practice for an hour and play a game for an hour.

we bring all our younger kids and let them all run around together.

Parents: Stacie and Darren, Matt and Amy, Mandi and Mike, Tawny and Ry.

It makes Saturdays so fun :)

The boys won the first game 48-6 and then lost the second game 24- 26.

Austin had the opening play and touchdown! way to go Austin :)

Aus w/ the ball. Jake in the red shorts

The best part of Saturdays, we are all together. We go as a family and watch Austin and Jake's football games. Then we are off to Jake's soccer games. Mace is buddies with all the other parents little ones...they just roam around the parks, exploring up and down, making up games, chasing each other around. It is fun. RY and I have made some great friends with our sports teams.

Jake has an amazing soccer team. These boys are top in state. But that doesn't matter much to me. Really it's the relationships he has built and what he's learning out on that field.

Their team motto: R E A C H.

Respect. Effort. Attitude. Courage. Heart.

These boys are his best buds. Jake can't wait to go to his 3 practices and games every week. His coaches have really brought these boys together to perform their best on the field and off the field. We love team Dynamite.

Then after the games, Ry and the boys play out on the fields.

They could do this all day. (and they do!) I love it. Ry is the best dad. He loves to spend time with his boys. With no brothers, Ry just feels so lucky to have 3 sons. and it shows :)

Over the weekend. My Mace Man turned 5. wow!

His birthday party is this Friday at Monkey Bizness with all his friends.

But Saturday, after all the games, it was Mace's day.

He picked lunch, movie, and football. Done.

We went to the Movie Rio and then he wanted the McD's toy after.

(yes! he chose mcd's! goodness :) We all went to lunch and

then to play some football outside. It was a fabulous day! :)

Mace got one gift from us: A Nintendo D.S with Iron man game

and Megamind game.

Perfect. fun day.

I wanted to document at least one Saturday because they are so

fun/ crazy around here! Most Saturdays are this busy.

Ry and I enjoy it and so do the kids.

Most the day, we are all together off to our adventures!

I thought I would end with a fun lil picture.

Aus and Jake's opposing football team spectator/ coach.

He was a funny guy, really into the game.

And he was dead serious about his get up.

It brought a little smile to our faces.

Gotta love Colorado and our adventures!!

xo!

Maybe it's because...Utah trip Home :)

Maybe it's because Brookie and Amber picked me up from the airport with a beautiful pink sugar cookie waiting for me on my seat,

~maybe it's because all my sister's met up @ Brooke's house Friday night and took me out! (we went to Biaggi's at the Gateway! and then to Jane Eyre. loooved the show :) kind of spooky!

~Maybe it's because the second I was with my girls, it felt like home.

~maybe it's because I couldn't take my eyes off those grand ole' mountains of mine.

~maybe it's because it snowed and snowed and it felt so cozy.

~maybe it's because we drove up to my old house and I could see my 2 sisters homes and I cried a bit, ( a happy cry..for the memories. Feelings of 2009/10 came rushing back. A year to remember..cousin love, walks, late nights..etc)

~maybe it's because I can talk all night with my sisters/fam. We don't miss a beat. I felt like I never left.

~maybe it's because I woke up in the Mountain House and my Dad cooked us up homemade crepes, fresh fruit and bacon. Brooke, Brie and Bran eating breakfast with us...joyous morning.

~maybe it's because I spent a whole 30 minutes just with my Dad talking about our lives..catching up.

~maybe it's because I went with my mom to Rodworks, just like the good ole. days! checked out some lovely house stuff. (oh how I miss UTAH stores!!)

~ maybe it's because I got to go to lunch with 2 of my bestest (that is NOT a word I know) friends who mean the world to me.

~maybe it's because we laughed and talked for almost 3 hours, catching up and chatting about life, kids, families, and marriage :) Happy Birthday Nat :)

~ maybe it's because I drank ice cold diet coke with my girls.

~maybe it's because I got to visit the Buckle (my Faaaaavorite store!) with my girls again:) it felt like good old times :)

~maybe it's because I got to go to Misty house and hang out. Her home so warm and inviting...I hugged Dax and Trey and Cole..oh how I miss my nephews (and nieces of course too!)

~maybe it's because I got to see all of my darling niece (more like a sister to me) Ali's (misty's daughter!) wedding plans. Bridesmaid dresses, colors, we talked about ALL the details...I loved every second.

~maybe it's because I got to go to Baby Penny's first Birthday party and see my entire family. It was so great to see everyone's cute face again :)

~maybe it's because I got to chat with my twin brother, Troy and his wife, Kristin and catch up on eachother's lives. (we are committing to a Triathalon! :) oh yeah.

~ maybe it's because I devoured like 5 delicious cupcakes all in honor of Baby Penny.

~Maybe it's because we all went to Cafe Rio and ate some delicious pork salad and talked and talked...most of the crew came. It was so fabulous (especially with the snow falling down....) ( this pic taken after midnight! oh man, I look so tired! no sleep ever :) maybe 10 hrs total!

Maybe it's because I have a hubby who loves me and sends me home whenever I need my love pot filled:)

~Maybe it's because it felt so great to be able to go home to Utah for 42 hours..... that I am able to come home to my home in Colorado:)

and......maybe...maybe... it's why I am so darn happy to see these kiddos:

when I got off the plane, we went on a walk behind our home...the wheat fields as tall as Jake..

We walked the back route down to our Rec Center and lake. We explored the secret pond, ran up and down the hills, found coyote dens, warmed ourselves by (Anthem's complimentary gas) fire, threw rocks into the lake, and chatted about eachother's weekend. Ry was Mrs. mom taking the Austin and Jake to their flag football games (48-6! yes)and soccer games. (2-1 yay!) Then they were off to the movie Hop, bought new Nike shoes for Aus, took kiddos to lunch and then to his office to switch offices. (corner office now his:) What a busy weekend for all. (sorry for the crazy spaces! my blog is being stubborn! ahhh) (and next pic is off my Android, thus a bit blurry!)

What a great weekend I had. I feel so lucky to have all of YOU each and every day. Love it. and you! My love pot is now filled. Bottom Line: I think I have the best of both worlds. xo!

Happy Anniversary. Ry and I. A fabulous getaway

Ry and I had our Anniversary weekend. We like to "play" for a couple of days. No work, no sports, no kids stuff, or chores....just us . We included the kids this year too.We got a Hotel for the weekend for all of us. It was fabulous.

The Omni Hotel was B E A U T I F U L! ooh my goodness. The weekend was one I will never forget. I loved it with my family, my kids, Ry...we had a fancy dinner, surprises for each other, movies, swimming (outside!), just simply hanging with the STott Fam. I loved it. and thank Ry for always keeping my life full. and keeping me surprised all the time. He is quite the R O M A N T I C.....He reenacted our engagement and I got a fabulous gift...

On Saturday after flag football and soccer, we all checked into the Interlocken Omni Hotel. It sits on a beautiful 18 hole golf course. It is supposed to be a replicate of Switzerland. Ohhhh it is beautiful. Ry booked a room so we could all fit. We checked in, and went to the pool to swim! The day was gorgeous....84 degrees... The kids were in heaven. I was too. I just let the sun hit my face, and I watched Ry and the kids play away! After the pool, (just) RY and I went down to the Mirage for a fancy dinner. It was a beautiful space.. fancy dining:) We ate Filet Mignon, almond butter asparagus, and for dessert..my favorite: creme' brulee! It was such a fun dinner. Ry and I talked about our 15 yrs...4 kids, 5 homes, colleges, new jobs, new adventures, our ups and our downs, our happy moments, our heartaches...it was sweet. I gave him 2 pair of nice cuff links, engraved his wedding ring, and a 3 print canvas pictures of us that will go above our bed. I had no idea what he had in store. I knew he was up to something...the waitress came out and brought dessert. It had a lid on it....(hmmm looked familiar. just like how he asked me to marry him...fancy restaurant, dessert, covered lid....) I smiled and lifted the lid and he had a diamond anniversary band. It was beautiful! I loved it. He surprised me! About 10 minutes later as we were leaving, he said get the box and take a pic of the ring in it. I grabbed the box, opened it up, and there was one more anniversary band inside....I was floored! I couldn't believe it. I loved it. I have a pic of my hand w just the one band and then took one with both. He gave me the sweetest card too. I feel so lucky to have him as mine. What a weekend we had. We went to movies, swam some more, took the kids out to eat, hung out in the room....We celebrated with the whole family. Loved it. and LOVE u Ry!

pic of my 2 anniversary bands.

p.s we have had soooo much go on! so much to say and so little time. Lots of changes around me w family and friends moving and coming. I have a family member moving close by!!! (CO Springs!) and I have a BEST friend moving :( and a best friend moving back! :) The kids doing new things and new changes....Hopefully I can catch up soon :)

p.s.s. My font is being crazy on this blog...it won't let me change it or fix spaces! frustrating. I like it all to be perfect! It isn't :)

xo!
