I run because I can.
I run because I L O V E it.
I run because it is my "happy pill"- a little seratonin release never hurt anyone.
I run because it is my escape.
I run because I love a challenge - (run at least 3 races a year!)
I run because I carried 4 large babies and thanks to the twins I had 13lbs. 5 oz of baby at one time (Yes all 13 1/2 lbs in my tummy! yikes). Jake and Mace each proudly weighed 8 lbs. 4 oz and 8 lbs. 5 oz. Can you say: back fat and thunder thighs?
I run because I love to feel my lungs burn and my legs to be sore.
I run because I can eat alllll the chocolate I want. (well, not really)
I run because it's my time: me, the road, my ipod and my shoes. No kids, no distractions, just my little self.
I run because I have high cholesterol.... high risk in fact. (thanks to my dad's genes!) I probably should take meds but running keeps my LDL cholesterol down and my total to 200 mg/dl which is just medium risk. woohoo
I run because I love to watch the sunrise and the sunset.
I run because it's me, it's who I am and if I have good knees, I will run till I'm 94! yay
AND in this post, I need to thank my trusty old treadmill:

It has survived 3 homes
four bouncing babies
8 looong years
about 190 runs per year (winter months Oct-Mar)
around 1520 uses
about 6080 miles...(what? crazy)
carried a big momma like me
and made me a happy person everyday. thank you
The story of my treadmill:When the twins were born in 1999, I took them on L O N G walks/runs everyday. 2 reasons: I needed to get out of the house and move my body and secondly: I was lonely. (husband worked full-time job in the day and full-time college at night!)I needed to get outside and leave my quiet house. I would walk/run at least an hour every day. But eventually winter came around and I was tired of doing the Billy Blanks Taebo video! Although, do gotta say, I loved his awesome workouts. B U T, I needed a treadmill! So, anyway, Ry and I had no cash to justify a new treadmill so we went to Kmart and bought me the clearance treadmill for around $350 dollars! What a deal! We figured it would last a year or two and then hopefully we could afford something better. But seriously who would of guessed my cheap treadmill would of worked great all of these years? I never had to replace it and it is sitting proudly in our new workout room. Who says you need all that fancy schmany equipment to exercise! Not me. I am forever indebted to my treadmill and will thank it always...!
Here is a pic of me on my treadmill with no t.v and no proper mirror...remember my "little black cloud post...?
Well if you read it, there is no need for me to explain my set up! I'm just grateful to have it!
Good news now, it's warm and my days on the treadmill are about over! Yay, bring on spring! I get to enjoy some great views! yay!
See ya on the roads......
