Lucky. Avery. Utah. Boulder

I don't know why but lately I have been feeling lucky.
lucky to be doing this all day:

Lucky to be a mom.
and lucky to stay home.
Lucky to raise four kids,
to make choices,
to take care of,
to nurture,
and to love.

I don't take that for granted for one day.
I thank Ry all the time for working so hard.

I couldn't do it without him and he couldn't do it without me.
A perfect team :)

Even Mace thanks Dad for "making the dollars"
so that Mom can stay home with him.

It's sweet.
Life is sweet.

(Toy Story 3 after a long day at the pool)

Sometimes I let the "little things" completely get in the way.

But I just need to remember the bigger picture. ALWAYS.

(our neighborhood walks...looking for Layla..)

and that's family... Life is Good.

It has been great to the Stott family.

and with that said:

I want to introduce you to the newest

member of the Stott family:

Avery.

Layla is not forgotten. Always remembered.

But I had a daughter who needed some love. (big time)

Isn't she so cute??

Avery is the same mix as Layla.

A Siamese/Tabby.
She is a baby, 8 weeks old.

I have a daughter who is smiling again.
It was hard to see her so sad.

Layla never returned.

Wherever she may be, we know she is in a "happy place."
Ashlyn still cries about it,

but hopefully

little Avery can start

to fill the hole in Ashlyn's heart.

and we looked and (still look)

every day.

(look at that smile bringing little Avery home.

We got her at a pet store at the mall!)

Okay, last but not least,

I am booked to come home to Utah!

Aus and I are flying home in a few days!

Life is good!

oh yes it is.

It will be so great to see family and friends again!!

AND

by the way, I am so behind on posts!

WE have been to so many great places already.

Colorado is honestly so beautiful.

(Eldorado Canyon, Boulder)

(oh it was a beautiful day up Boulder...Ashlyn loving the hike!)

It offers so much to see and do....we are loving exploring it all!

Hopefully one day I can catch up!

(Mace with his map..telling US where to hike :)

I have lots of great pictures...the Stott's are really happy right now.

Unexpectedly falling in love (so fast) with this place!

That's so good for all of us.

(Especially the kids...they have done so well,)

yay!
and

btw,

did you notice today is July 1!

love it.

xo!

Yay!!! You are one lucky lady. All of us stay at home mamas are lucky. I love your new findings in Colorado and your new kitty. It looks so beautiful. Glad the Stotts are happy. I hope you can take one second away from family to visit with me. Just a second. I know it's hard sharing and it's not a long time. I have a hard time sharing my sissy when she is here for two weeks. haha. Can't wait to see your skinny self.

p.s. My best friend growing up had a cat like Avery. I had to feed it one week while they were out of town. This cat went crazy on me and attacked my leg. I never fed it again and I've been scared ever since. Good thing I had pants on. haha

When Amber and I heard you were coming we were walking on FAllbrook and we jumped up and down and and read the text out loud and then screamed. Pathetic..yes, but we are sooo happy you are coming!! We have both needed you too. I got work off Sunday night so we can play all day! Can't wait. See you soon :) It's fun to say that..

So happy too, for all the same things you are. I am happy that I got to stay home with you all. And now I am happy for you. Your new kitty is beautiful. I love Himalayan
's. They are so special. And I am happy for Ashes and for your whole family that you are enjoying your new place so much but still remembering your family and friends. That is what is great about LOVE. It just keeps expanding and always room for more.
Love
Mom
