A Magical Christmas

Oh it was such a Magical Night!
Lots of hard work, lots of stress...

So many decisions on colors, themes, decorations.

Hours and hours of time put into it.

But,

It was. simply. Magical.

Magical it was.

So much reward in the end.

I am so happy. We did it.

I am finished.

It was such a huge and happy success.

(pic of our magician with the kids....they were loving him! He was part of our "magical night!)

Ohh thank heavens everything pulled off just right.

The food, the magician, the kids craft, the musical numbers, the desserts,

and the decor.

It was a fabulous night.

When people came walking in, my heart was happy when they would stop and look up and say, "oh wow.......it's sooo pretty in here."

Done. My job was done.

I just wanted people to feel a little bit of "magic" that night.
Jody and I put up 6 big trees and 6 smaller trees. We decorated the stage with sparkly lights and stars. We wrapped gifts, put up lights, did candle motives that lighted the entrance way...we did table toppers with poinsettias and stars....
We tried to create a "magical night..."
(that was our theme...)

I left my house at 7:03 A.M. to set up tables and start decorating.

I left the church last night at 11:08 P.M.

I did take a shower break and went and saw Austin sing in his choir performance...but otherwise I was working away!

We spent all day putting up the trees, lights and decor. I was actually loving it. It was so fun to do something a little different with my day. We blasted Peter Breinholt Christmas music and worked away....(and thanks to my sissies and friends who stopped by and saw it!)

The party started at 6:30 and the night was off.
here we go...!

So many families walking on in..

.

Elise, Jody and I were happy girls.

Plenty of food =happy people. The magician was so darling=happy kids. The musical numbers and setting were great=happy committee!

We said it was worth all those 15 plus hours of work just yesterday.

and I. was. so. sad. to take it all down....
so much work for just 2 hours...but that's okay!

Pic below of Jody and I.

Jody is my sis Misty's BEST friend in the world...she weighs a buck five and is so spunky, hyper and happy....it was fun to be a team with her.)

(and why does that shirt make me look pregnant! I promise I am not!)

Elise (in the red) and Chuck...

They are in charge of the ward committee...with Jody and I as their helpers.

great neighbors and great friends!

They were so fun work with....

and the food was delicious!

It was fun to put time and energy into something that was really great for so many people....
What a night!

I took 4 ibuprofen and a hot bath at midnight...I couldn't move my back.
But now I can relax a little and move on to the next Christmas party....
Mother daughter tea hosted by mom tomorrow!

We enjoy a light Christmas lunch and decorate gingerbread houses.

Lots and lots of girls talk and good times.

Have a M A G I C A L Christmas week!

oh man I love this time of year...its the best.

I love that theme. IT was perfect. You better watch out because now they know what you are made of and they will never let you go. It's so great to do something like that and feel the rewards. Good job girly.

Made me almost jealous to remember back in the day when I was needed and useful to the whole Ward experience. There were some good times but they always came with so much hard work and stress. Yes, the back pain and the aspirin before sleep will come was my routine too. But it is fun to know you helped so many to have a great night. Wish that I could have been there!
