I'm done.
Spring Break is over.
We survived. No sunny trip down South, but we made the best of it.
The kids finally went back to school today.
Clean house (well not yet),peace and quiet, A N D no noise. (thank you!)
But gotta say, we enjoyed our 5 days of fun:
Movies, lunches, dying eggs, long runs, cousins, General Conference, Easter morning, Grandma's house, candy, late night video's.... we had a fabulous Spring Break. I did a few collages and now I am done.
The first collage: Easter morning:
My kids love Easter.
They love the "hunt" more than the candy.
(we always throw out 1/2 the candy in a couple of weeks.)
This year I suggested we switch to Easter Baskets and the kids
would have nothing of it!
"Traditions!" they said, "tradition is the Easter Bunny hides the candy
E V E R W H E R E,
and then we hunt, look, search for all the candy and eggs!"
Done, we were not to change. ever.
The Easter Bunny is alive and strong at our house! (still)
The kids woke up at 6:23 (I could hear them from my room!) But they weren't allowed to call until 7:30....I was awake and tired from waiting up for the Bunny, but I got up and the hunt began.
The Bunny hides candy (everywhere) on the main level and basement.
Then I hid eggs with 25 cents and dollar bills. At the end I had a L U C K Y egg with a grand prize. And then they all received a final clue for a prize from Ry and I.
Easter was a hit.
The kids had so much fun finding all the prizes. They love to take their time
and find the candy.
They were cute and helped Mace find the hidden candy and prizes.
The final prize:
Austin got basketball shorts, Ashlyn got more beads for her bracelets, Jake got a color clue/ quiz book, and Mace got a cute book and cotton candy.
It was a F A B U L O U S Easter morning.
Later that day, we went up to the Mountain House (Gma's and Gpa's Brown)
for a Easter meal with the cousins. So fun to spend time with the family.
It was a great Spring Break,
I am so tired and glad to recoup and get the house back in order. But we had a good time. I did one last collage of all we did.
By the way, the kids loved this movie:
(Jake is such a poser..always :)
Such a good lesson:
Don't be quick to judge and give people (or dragons in this case) a chance to be themselves. And you learn that things are NOT always as they appear.
good show!
loved it. (animation was amazing!)
Happy Spring Break.
N O W back to life!
my last collage: our week of fun!
Here we go:
school, sports, scouts, swim, homework, organize, move... S C H E D U L E S!
xo!
