Ashlyn first swim meet (in CO). July 10, 2010.

Yes it's real and yes it's what I look at every day.
(we go to the pool daily :)
I actually kind of get excited every morning knowing I get to look outside.
I love the views, the mountains, the lakes.
It seems to make up for (leaving Utah) a bit!
A couple days before the meet,
our Rec center decked out the entire place in
poster boards for our
swim team.
It was so sweet!
When I saw my cute neighborhood pool started a swim team I got excited.

I almost did COMP for Ashlyn.
But not yet, we are enjoying this simple, close, sunny swim team.
Saturday was their first meet.
Boy Ash was nervous!

Her coach put her in 6 events.

The meet started at 7:45 and went till noon.
I went early with Ash and Ry and the kids came down later.
We packed drinks and snacks and stayed all afternoon.
We loved the weather and watching Ashlyn and her team.
It was lovely.

This is where all the families BBQ and stay all day and evening.

Nice to have a bit of shade.
Ashlyn had 6 events:
She swam:
50 free
50 fly
50 breaststroke
50 backstroke
100 I.M
100 freestyle.
And she did great.
Her first event was the 50 freestyle.
Her best event.
She dropped her time by
2 full seconds!!
That is great for swimming.
Her new time: 34.01!
Way to go girl..
On her 100 freestyle she lapped a few and
finished with no swimmers in sight.
Her flip turns made all the difference. (and her form :)
It was a great morning for the Stott's .
We had fun just relaxing all together.

I'm so excited for Ashlyn that she did so well and has an awesome place for swimming. The pool, clubhouse and scenery are absolutely amazing! I could definitely spend all day there.
You do too look cute after six hot miles. I love your pics of Ash entering the water. So cool. What a nice camera. Ash did awesome. What a fun morning. What an awesome rec center. You are lucky to live there in Anthem. What a great place. Congrats to Ash on her 1st swimming meet!!!

I enjoyed the narrative of your summer loves and of Ashes swim meet. She reminds me so much of you at that age. She is beautiful. How great for her that she can continue on with her life. Hope the kitty is doing well!?
