Welcome Home

Welcome Home!

We have missed you
Grandpa and Grandma Stott!

The time has come...
Their 18 month mission served
in Kirtland, Ohio
finished!

From 1831 to 1838, Kirkland served as the church headquarters for the
Latter day Saint movement under Joseph Smith.
Also, the Kirkland temple (first temple!) was built and dedicated on March 27, 1836.
Ry's parents served throughout Kirkland educating people about the history or our church.

Ry took the kids to visit Kirtland in June.

It was a trip the kids will never forget.
It was such a great learning experience for them!
WE learn about all the great places of our church and now
they get to see them for themselves.
cool!

The day was here!
We made signs, got balloons and headed on over.....!
The kids were so so so excited to see gma and gramps!
What you don't realize is that my kids are the O N L Y
grand kids on Ry's side.

They have been S P O I L E D rotten their entire little lives from the Stott side! and oh how they have missed it!

It was a tough few years having B O T H sets of gparents gone serving missions.
(My parents were gone for 3 years and Ry's for a year and a half.)
Both gone at the same time! crazy
Now with both home, it has been quite the
R E U N I O N!

We got the signs all ready,
and lined the street waiting and waiting....
soooo anxiously!
We had memories of doing this for Gma and Gpa Brown.
Now it was finally time for Gma and Gpa Stott.
The kids were H A P P Y!

5 minutes and counting down....here we go!
gma and gpa drove A L L the way home from New York.

It took them 6 full days! no fun!

Oh here they come!

We see their car...!

Happy moments....

They. are. finally. H O M E!!

H O M E at last.

yes.
Grandpa! Grandpa! Grandpa!

wow! what a hug!
My boys love Gpa Jerry with all of their little hearts! I was a little emotional.

What a sweet moment

for my boys.

Grandpa means the world to them.

He gives his heart to my kids.
(Look at Mace's happy dance moves!) Grandma Grandma Grandma

Suzy Suzy Suzy!

Mace ran right into her arms.
He was a baby when she left!

They were worried he would forget who they were, but he ran straight to them!

She is so sweet to my kiddos! They have missed her.

Reunions all around.

Suzanne's only sister, Anita came from Belgium to be here!

Nothing like a sister!

Uncle Tom (bottom left) and Aunt Anita (bottom right) are so great.

Bear hugs from grandpa!

Jakers couldn't get enough!

All of us together!

We had them over for a bbq on Friday night.
They had never seen our new house.
So we were excited to finally have them at O U R home!
Ry and his parents! Gathering around.
It has been so long since we have all been together but
last night felt like we had never been away.

Grandma Grape!
(That's what my kids call her. Really "grape" stands for Great grandma)

Suzanne's mom came up from New Mexico.

She is our great grandma and has energy of a 40 year old!

she never stops.

She reads books to my kids, teaches them songs on the piano,

and just gives them all her attention!

(when I enlarge my photo it cuts a third of the pic of....hmmm. I need to figure this out!)
We had a great night.

Ry was happy to be with his parents again.

Ry has no bro's so he is super close with his dad...

they can talk the night away!

Ry can't wait for his dad to spend some time with

him in his man cave watching sports.

They both share a passion for sports sports and M O R E sports!

Thanks for a fun night!

We are so happy to have everyone home.

This year has definitely been full of

emotional highs and lows for Ry and I.

Selling a house, building a house, moving two (really four!) times,

stolen storage units :(

both parents on missions, B U S Y work, kids schedules, etc.....

It's been quite the year, stressful and so hard but also we feel blessed too!

It's also been a great example to my kids to know there grandparents are

so willing to serve for the church!

But so glad you are A L L back!

W E L C O M E H O M E!

We love you!

I loved Mace's dance moves! They were so darling! So happy they are home for the kids. They need their grandparents around. I'm sure you made the moment very special for them too.

What a great year for you and Ry.

How fun to show them your new house and to have another home coming. We are in the farewell stages again. Aren't grandparents the best. They are such good examples to our little ones.
