color.
C O L O R makes my heart happy.

I need it around me...

and to me, color creates feelings.

especially for the holidays..

And with it being UEA (kids out of school for 5 days. geesh!),

General Conference (no church), and football mania (my husband),

I had a little extra time to put together some more pics.

I love doing it. I love to create. and I know they are nothing special to you but they are fun to me!

So back to C O L O R.

The next 3 months are full of color.

Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas (oh happy joy!)

That is why I love the Holidays:

Lots of textures, colors, and feelings.

And it also means pulling out all the deco's for the house.

First off, I love the colors of fall.
And lately I have been hung up on:
orange. orange. orange. orange. orange. orange. orange.

Speaking of orange, me and the girlies hit the

witches festival at Gardner Village.

(lots of color there :)

I love these orange jack-o-lanterns flying high in the trees.

The wind was blowing them back and forth, it was such a great decorating idea-

I could make these cheap cheap..if only I had tall trees to hang them from!

This wooden bridge is so perfect for fall. I loved it...

The lights, the little pumpkins...so cute!

(It reminded us of Sleepy Hollow)

I could sit all day under that bridge drinking hot cocoa-

and I just went to the store and bought 6 boxes. Y U M. We got a kick out of the hanging creepy spiders.. Brookie, Amber, Misty, Mom and I all went .

We had the 4 pack with us.

They were acting like vampires.

We had a great time seeing all the Halloween witches and displays.

It was so festive and set the perfect mood for fall!

All of this color made me want to

D E C O R A T E and add color around the house.

So I did:

a perfect rainy weekend to do so.

And I don't change much. Really just enough to do the mantle

and a shelf or two.

Over kill is not my thing. Okay, except on the mantle!

Besides orange, I love red. more of a rustic red.
and I also love warm

golds and greens

My berries hold all my favorite fall colors.

so pretty..

I like to change up the mantle especially for Halloween and Christmas.

Nothing to fancy ya know.

and it's different everytime...
