The last walk...nature's love

We had a great weekend.

We took advantage of our last few days of W A R M T H....

We love coming to Crestwood park

(Secret Pool park)

It is exactly 2 miles from our house...

I grew up coming here with my family.

We just wasted the day away

without worrying about schedules, sports, or time...

It was fabulous...the kids loved it.

We spent almost 3 hours exploring,

hiking, playing, and relaxing....

The day was warm with a cool breeze.

Most the leaves have fallen...a few golds and reds still hang on....
Jaker's checking out the river for fish!

and yes, his shorts are way to short!

The kids were so happy to explore!

Even Mace was easy!
No fits or crying...he was lovin it too!
Happy days for Ry and I! Cheers to our "next phase" of life!

The colors were soft with a warm glow.
The fall sun has definitely arrived.

The kids were finding all sorts of things to do......

Ash was so happy.
She has always L O V E D nature:
bugs, plants, insects, animals, trees...
all of it!
Do you see me??

Mace's lil feet crunched all the leaves.

The boys were throwing the football along the way.

My boys.
I love my boys.

WE found a huge boulder by the river that glistened with "gold!"

Lots and lots of gold....

Gold!

The kids dug away for almost an hour finding the glistening rocks!

They all put them up proudly on their bookshelves in their room.

Surprisingly we found lots!~

It was a beautiful day.

Throwing the football high in the sky....
hanging out and having a great time.

Check out the people below..they were dressed in medieval times with the entire wardrobe: capes, swords and all!

They are known to come here every weekend and they go deep into the woods...doing who knows what! kinda weird!)

Most of the leaves have fallen...a few still hanging on!

The river was a favorite spot.
The sound was so relaxing....the water coming down from the mountains...
the water was C O L D!

Don't laugh at our pic...It's cute!

BUT do you notice Ry?? No facial hair! wow!

WE had so much fun on Saturday.
It was so nice to relax and do whatever we wanted.

We are sad that winter is almost here.
BUT we can't complain that fall has lasted this long!

We had a great weekend.
Hope you did to!
xo!

OMG the Medieval guys! Me and Amber discovered them 2 years ago sitting at the park about this time of year (we saw a sword) and almost called the police. We didn't know what they were. So we packed up as fast as we could and drove out of there fast. Now we all see them every time we go, right? Frieken' weirdos...

I love all your flip-flop pictures. Mace's feet are so cute and stubby :) And, your tan feet are about to be covered by boots...sad.

But, I'm glad you posted about your last walk from flippy flops into boots.
