My life now.

Sometimes I want to live here.... My dad was born and raised on a farm in Coalville, UT. He tried to raise us kids on a farm until my 3 oldest siblings burned it down...pigs, cows, haybarn, tractors...gone! So my mom and dad up and moved to good ole' Salt Lake.
I was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. My dad found a 7 bedroom house with an acre of land. He was so excited because he could still have his farm in the city...horses, cows, goats, a coop full of chickens, you name it, we had it! My job was to feed the horses. Morning and night. I had to tromp out in the freezing winters and the heat of the summers. I complained... but I actually really liked it. It was peaceful and I loved the quiet of the days. I got away from the noise of the house..
I love living in the heart of the valley and looking every direction and seeing all of the mountain peaks surrounding us. I especially love the Wasatch Mountains and looking up into them every morning. Sometimes I still wonder what it would be like if I lived my life on a farm in Coalville....

Then I realize the Target and the malls are just to far away. :)

if you lived on the farm in coalville your ocd would be out of control because you'd prob have to wipe your poop with your hands in the outhouse and stick your arm up cow's bums. seriously. farmers do that! i love living in the valley too. we have mountains nearby, but also malls!

Brie,
ok, ok, so your right. I just like the "idea" of farm life. Sometimes it seems so SIMPLE. No craziness, no schedules, no noise...just the open land and sunshine! I know us Brown girls would NEVER survive!

I honestly think you would die without the Buckle within 5 miles of your house, but you do look hot in cowboy boots!! :)

I almost cried thinking about our old house. Sometimes I wish M & D would have never moved from there. So many great memories. I sometimes wonder if they wonder the same thing. (I'm saying "wonder" a lot). Any-hoo...I'm with ya...I feel for some odd reason that I could be or should be a country girl!
