Just thinking.....

Blessed... the good things, the simple things. I've always wanted to list what I feel makes my life so great. Here is a few for my blogging journal... sorry if it seems a little sappy or cheesy but I guess it's my blog so heres a few of my thoughts:

1. I feel blessed everyday to wake up to a brand new shiny day not knowing what it will hold.

2. I feel blessed everyday to know I have 4 beautiful, happy, healthy children who I would do anything for.

3. I feel blessed everyday to be a mother. To me, I am fulfilling my most divine role as a woman. I get to teach, to love, to direct, and to lead....I know I make plenty of mistakes but I know it is a gift I get to live.

4. I feel blessed to know that life is good, life is sweet, but life is also hard, there are trials, there are struggles, I will fail, I will fall, but in the end, I can learn from these mistakes and have the opportunity to make my life better.

5. I feel blessed to have a husband who loves his family above all and would do absolutely anything for. A husband who is sometimes a kid himself and will throw a football for hours, rake leaves and jump into them 2323 times, play 1001 matches of soccer, and shoot hoops till dusk just to show his kids how much he loves to spend time with them... He would give them A L L he had for their happiness.

6. I feel blessed everyday to wake up to a healthy body. To have the freedoms to run, hike, swim, hug, cook, love......to do whatever I want to do. No limitations, what a sweet blessing!

7. I feel blessed to have parents who challenged me to become the best I could be, to reach my full potential. To teach me that life has a purpose. TO always be a person of integrity, to be honest, and to love your neighbor.

8. I feel blessed to live in a country that gives me my free agency and allows me to choose to be anything I want to be. I have the freedom to become, to choose, and to love whomever and whatever I wish.

9. I feel blessed everyday to know I have a husband who loves me unconditionally...he embraces my failures and celebrates my successes. In the end he loves M E for who I am.

10. I feel blessed everyday to have a mother (and in-law) and 5 sisters (and many sis-in-laws) who each stand as examples of strong women and fill my cup daily. They love, encourage, celebrate, cry, support, and help me daily.

11. I feel blessed to know that I have a Heavenly Father above who watches over, guides, and loves me daily.

12. I feel blessed to know that I will try to do my best every day, but there are many times I will fail. And tomorrow is a new day to start over and do it again...better.

13. I feel blessed to have friends who mean the world to me. I know they "get me" and I get them. We have laughed, cried, and celebrated the joys of life together.

14. Lastly but not least, I feel blessed everyday to enjoy the simple things of life: vanilla diet coke, baked lays, nail polish, my big star jeans, cadbury mini eggs, the hot beach, my jewelry, historical fiction novels, paint colors, flip-flops, my "pink" sweats, shining stars, early morning runs, hot long showers, buckle shirts, and a good tan! For they also make me who I am.

Thanks for listening, I needed that. for me.

Wow, Tawn. Very cool post. I loved your song that played, something about "A New Day". That was perfect. I loved your list of blessings and I loved how you described Ryan as a man who embraced you whether you were succeeding or failing, that is such a tribute to him and to your marriage. Thanks for giving me more hope just reading your blog.
Love you,
Mom

Tawny - I love this post! Thanks for reminding me to look at my everyday blessings that are right in front of my face that I so carelessly overlook.

I love that too. You never fail to stop and look at your life in the moment and realize how great and wonderful it is. You are the best mom, sister, friend, aunt, and all those other things. Seriously. I am so lucky to have you in my life! Cheezy, but true :)

This is exactly why I love you so much. I could call you at any moment...crying about a really old child, and you can make me feel better instantly. You are one of those blessing to all those who know you.
Love you.
