It's still Spring around here.....
the rain doesn't seem to want to ever stop, even in May! At least it makes for a b e a u t i f u l backdrop.
WE had a fun and crazy B U S Y weekend...

Dinner with some good friends, walks with sis's in flip flops, playing outside in the warm air till dusk, and drinking my lovely diet coke again. (i missed you)
and due to so much rain, I had some great runs with beautiful scenery...
(I can't seem to get enough of this Spring weather.. )

we also had lots of soccer games in the R A I N....

Jake killed it this week. He never stopped pushing for the goal. Him and his b
uddy, Ben, scored all the goals. They also ran back and played all the defense. Ry and I love to watch his passion for the game. He loves sports so so so so so much.
and.....
do you notice anything funny in this pic???? look closely.
yes,
you are unfortunately right....
kitty cats.
I am trying to like them.
My kids have begged and begged and begged for like 101 years for a cat. Funny thing is this is our 3rd go around with a cat. Our last cat Kia, attacked the old- grandma's -neighbor- live- in- 40- year- old daughter. (serious kia bit 4 fang vampire fang bites in her arm...oopsies!) BUT every day the old lady came to my door, ringing my bell over and over and she would say through the door in her scratchy voice:"I saw yuuur CAT out caaausing some trouble again with all those male cats, screeching and fighting they did....you know, you should really think about putting that cat to a shelter and that....and with her biting my daughter, she is a real danger to this community." serious, enough already, I had it, kia found a new home. she is very happy. and i was too!
BUT my kids, including Ry looooove animals so I didn't want to suppress them or something so I said we have to find a NICE kitty cat and I guess I can deal with it.....SO......
meet
Layla or Leila, (ash picked it)
however you want to say it.
Isn't she perty?
Layla has already pooped 3 times on the floor.
That is so so so gross.
But I am trying for the kids sake.....
soon enough she will be an OUTSIDE kitty cat.
pregnant soon I know. j/k
and some news:
I just signed up for the RACE FOR THE CURE...this Saturday
Love this race, love for all it stands for,
love that I cry the whole 3 miles through,
love that it celebrates the lives of all the people who have ever had cancer or
lost a love one to cancer-
I am racing for Savannah Grace
(7 year old who is fighting strong)
and in remembrance of
Suzie who lost her battle to cancer last year.
It's a great cause and a great run, I encourage all to do it...
I am running it with my sis, Amber
and some of my peeps will be there too.
love it.
and lastly,
with all the running around this week, something happened in my house that NEVER does:

Naps! naps! naps!
I am serious, this household never sleeps. We don't take the naps. We are to busy playing in the yard or playing together....
so it was nice for all to rest. Even the little Layla slept. (probably from Mace's torture....so sad!)

Now off to another busy week.
7 soccer games to go to, 5 soccer trainings, scouts, bday parties, REAL soccer game, school projects and
the RACE for the CURE! woohoo....
you all know the list because I am sure yours are all the same too!
(does life ever stop?! :)
xoxo

Those kittens are SOOOOOOOOOOO CUTE!!!!!! I am asucker for cats...almost picked another one up at an adoption going on yesterday.
All that running, and playing...where do you get the energy from???????
Have a beautiful week!
I must be out of the loop even though I saw you today! You got a kitty??
She is so cute. I am actually really surprised you did it. I didn't know how much you and Ry both like animals. Wow, learned something new about you today :)
Have fun and I'll come see her soon.
The last comment was not Penny it was Brooke...sorry...mom was logged in on my computer !
I love that Jake has that passion. I think Abby is losing hers. That's okay she still has dance. Kaden is playing now and he is aggressive. I hope he stays that way. So fun to watch. Crazy weekend and crazy week ahead. When is all the craziness going to stop. I can't believe you got a kitty. You are a nice mommy!!! I'll post my craziness sometime when I don't have a crazy moment.
Leila/Layla is so pretty. I love little kittens, too bad they poo poo all over.
Did you get 2 kitty's or just 1? I swear there are 2 in the pic.
In my next life I am going to have 4 Jakes...okay just kidding, 1 will suffice. What a super handsome boy!! And what a great athlete so far, he looks so fierce in those pics!
The kids that score all the goals are so cool, I bet he and his buddy felt like bad A's afterwards!
Too bad you didn't get a nap when your whole house was quiet, I never do either because there is always TOO much to do!
Thanks for motivating me to get running again, I've been consistent and loving it again. It's been forever but I forgot how much I enjoy it. I love your scenic pics.
I'm so happy you show your running pics because I have been going through withdrawls! Walking isn't quite the same.
So you know how I feel about CATS and I can't believe you have a pooping kitty, but, I really think she is actually sooooooo cute and reminds me of one I had when I was little. Good luck with her and I'm glad it's not me!
Yeah for Jakers! What a stud.:)
Happy Cinco de Mayo friend!!!
Aw, I'm jealous of your Layla! Remember to tell Mace that you can't hold her by the neck or the tail, kay?!
Have fun at your race for the cure thingy. Next time you should race to find a cure for my lungs.
Seriously!
xoxo, had fun at dinner last night 'wit you!
Tawny, you must stop over my blog today...got a cute give away!
Tawny, so much in that blog to comment on. Guess I will limit it to those adorable pics of your family, including kittycat napping. I loved it. Love your blog. Thanks for sharing and i enjoy your life vicariously!
Those kitties are too cute for words! And I am tired of the rain as well.
