Sweet moments

Do you ever have one of those days as a mother and you feel so incredibly grateful for your children? Okay we feel that every day, so I mean the love that just takes over your heart and you couldn't imagine life without your kids?

Or maybe that day you look at a certain child and have so much darn love welled up in your heart that you get the urge to hug them tight and squeeze their little bodies to yours and kiss them like a million times. That was me the other day with my
Jake.

Jakers brings so much joy to my heart everyday. His huge smile and big brown eyes makes my heart melt. His joy for life is contagious. He has a gift of optimism even in his little 7 years of life, Ry and I can already see that he lifts others up around him. He makes people laugh and smile. I love waking up each day knowing I have Jakers to lift my spirits.

So the other day he did the sweetest thing. It had been a long busy day and he saw the look on my face when I had just cooked dinner and now was moving on to the dishes. He came up to me in his deep cute voice and said,"

"Now mom, go have yourself a sit, and watch yourself a show

and I will do the dishes for you. Now go, go sit!"

Ahhh my sweet Jake, I hugged that boy and gave him the hardest "love squeeze" (that's what we call it in our house) . His little heart wanted to help his mom. So sweet.

He was very diligent, he couldn't really reach the sink filled of dishes but he tried his hardest and didn't stop until they were all done.

Love that boy and grateful for him everyday. I love love my job. I am simply blessed and feel it especially today.

Thank you Jakers for making me love being a mom.
Thank you for reminding me everyday what life's really about.

Thank's Jakers for making me and dad, Ash, Aus and Mace laugh every day.

We love you cute tootsie roll eye's! (his fav. nickname)

love you, mom

"Go have yourself a sit?" That is so sweet! I've had a few of those moments too. That was so amazing that Jake was able to see the look in your eyes that your were tired and wanted/needed help. And he even knew the best way for you to relax. A show! Oh, so cute

Love you Jake!

Hey girl, sorry I've been MIA - we've been PAINTING! I will post pics soon (have to get my house back in order).

Jake sounds like the perfect little son-in-law...how 'bout we line him and Ashley up in about 15 years?? What a sweetheart!! There's nothing better than sweet boys - keep up the good work! BTW, he is SO handsome too!

I once asked my Dad when one knew that they were mature enough to get married. He said when a person sees that work needs to be done and then does it w/o being asked. So, in my dad's play book I guess jake is ready to take the next step or the big leap or something. You will have to protect him from conniving females. His tootsie-roll eyes and deep voice and optimism will be in urgently needed by some female. Aren't these Mom monents nice? When your child actually loves you and wants to show that love. Loves it too!

Can we save Jakers for Savvy?

Please.
