guardian angels.

Angels. Guardian Angels.

Yes I do believe in them.

My sister had a guardian angel on Monday.

Yes, her family definitely had an angel watching over Quinn, Lexi, Lani and Amber.

And it's not really my story to tell, but I feel so inclined to say thank you

and to express how grateful I am that she is okay and she has someone watching above.

Two spin offs in the canyon were on the news that day, one fatal and one not.

My sister was driving home from Bear Lake and got in a terrible accident.

She hit black ice, spun in circles and headed straight down a ravine, through a barbed wire fence

and landed front up on a railroad track with her front tires in the air.

Her and the kids buckled tightly, not believing what just happened.

shocked, scared, and cold. They were all okay.

oh. wow. thank goodness.

we get a phone call from Mom, amber is in a wreck,

tears, worry, are they okay?

She said, "down a ravine 250 yards, through a fence and finally landing on the back of the truck with her front tires up in the air!" They were fine, the truck not so much. Oh my, they had a guardian angel that day, no doubt about it. Relief swept through me.

Too many "what if's" were simply put into place that saved all of their lives.

Amber woke up that day "knowing" something was terribly wrong.

Something was not right, she could feel it, she couldn't eat, she was worried.

Told the kids to buckle up tight. asked again and again? Are you buckled.

"Yes mom" and off they go.... down the canyon back to the valley.

Ten minutes past Coleville, black iced formed on the highway.

Her back tires spun out, the car spun back and forth, and down the ravine she went, kids a crying, Amber thinking how much she loved her kids...

But it was a miracle. They were all okay. If they would of went the other direction, they would of hit oncoming traffic, if she would of hit dirt on the ravine instead of straight ice, the car would of flipped tail over end and rolled and rolled. If she had landed 10 ft to the right, she would of fallen into a 20 foot cement drainage well. All of those with fatal endings or serious injury.

She was saved and watched over. We are so grateful.

I told my kids the news that day, we got on our knees that moment and thanked Heavenly Father for their safety. What a day, what a miracle.

The cop that arrived was Niel Ekberg. We grew up with Niel. He was a family friend and Amber was so happy to see his face in that cold ravine. She about hugged him! The tow truck driver who picked her up was my dad's ex girlfriend (yes 50 years ago!) Frankie Jean's brother. He helped her out of the ravine. My dad and Tyler got a call from Amber and sped up the canyon in under an hour. They all came to her aid and they came fast. They were all angels to Amber too.
(Lani, Lexi, and Quinn)

I know every day we are watched over and protected, we may not be able to stop what will happen, but sometimes we are "helped" along the way. What a lesson to all of us.....I am sure grateful for my sister and her guardian angel. Oh how the Stott fam loves Tyler, Amber and their 3 kids...they our best friends! Love ya girl! xo

(The cute Larsen fam! love them!)

You are amazing to write such nice things about me and my family! Of course it was scary but also life changing. I know without a doubt we were being watched over. I am blessed to be a mom to three wonderful kids and have a wonderful husband. I am also so lucky to have the family I do. I was so glad to see dad when he pulled up with Tyler. I don't think I have ever been happier to see him in my life. Thank you so much for you love and concern! You are the best sister and my best friend. Love ya!

Tawny, the whole post was beautiful. I loved the pics you posted and the heartfelt words that I echo also. I believe that there are very few coincidences. I do believe in Angels guarding us when they are allowed too. Thanks for telling this story.
