With 5 sisters, my dad has to spread his love all around...(it would be exhausting really..) But today, was my day. I was his "one and only"...just for a sweet moment on my birthday......
So yesterday, I heard a knock on the door.....
Yes, of course.... I smiled to myself realizing what my dad had done. I then thought of the sweet note he wrote to my sister and the way she felt when she was his "one and only" on her birthday. My eyes watered a little :).... "Of course, I would love them."
Now when I look at them, I think of my sweet dad and what he is trying to do for each of us daughters (and in-laws) on our special day. He wants us to feel like we are loved completely and fully....like we could be his "one and only."
Thanks dad, I love you. While you are on your 3 year mission, we all miss you and pray for you daily.(and yes you are only as far away as Provo but you are still not "here.") We can't wait until we can receive the flowers from you in person...!

i love to feel like the one and only. but i really am the one and only . i'm your one and only daughter. i love to make you and dad happy. and i'm glad i can be here for that. you are wonderful parents. mom i think you are a one and only because you are the prettiest out of the sisters.( no effence) and dad, i think you are one and only because you are the only son. and you are also very funny and fun. i just wanted to tell you how much i love you and that I will ALWAYS be your one and only.
Dad will love it when I tell him to read your blog. He has had fun giving the flowers this year and he has wanted them to be so beautiful and special. I can see that they are. He is a good guy!
Ashlyn is a sweet and great daughter. Many kudos to you and Ry both for loving and raising such cool kids.
my grandfather and father were, and are, just like that. GREAT men. Sweet post.
